Ingredients
- 1 pound fresh strawberries (2 ½ cup)
- 2 cups apple juice (fresh if you can)
- 2 cups water
- 4tbsp agar flakes
- ⅛ tsp salt
Directions
- Puree ½ the strawberries and save the best looking ones for garnish.Put aside
- Place the juice, agar flakes and water in a saucepan, simmer 5mn or till dissolved (cool about 20mn)
- Mix the juice/agar mixture with the strawberry puree
- Place in a 8x8 mold and garnish with the fresh strawberries. once the agar has hardened enough
Notes
- Change fruit and juice combination to your liking and according to fruit available in season in your area
- For more sweetness increase the ratio juice to water or add a few drops of stevia or your favorite sweetener
- For a creamier consistency replace the juice with almond milk and 1 or 2 Tbsp nut butter (you will need ½ cup of coconut nectar or other sweetener of your choice)
