Holiday Message from Liliane and Didier

Holiday Message from Liliane and Didier

Happy New Year to all of our dear friends!

Happy New Year to all Earthlings on a little Blue Planet!

Didier and I are busy packing and juggling the numerous challenges that come with an international move. We have both recently become Americans and have lived in the States for over 40 years. Our roots have remained French of course. I have also lived 6 years in Japan and quite a bit in China, so this move is reminding me that, more than ever, we are at a time of ever-increasing global awareness that includes all of us as citizens of our little blue planet. Ecological problems are international and know no walls nor boundaries.

I have kept a clear memory from my travels in China, in Xishuangbanna, near the Thai border. I was truly amazed at how suddenly we had stepped into into a different century. A land of amazing beauty, men and women still wearing century old ethnic clothing with intricate embroidery and patterns. Little black piglets were running free in the villages. Hardly any traffic, difficult access to villages on dirt roads. Yes, we were far away from civilization, or so it seemed. Yet I was struck that the ground was littered by coke and soft drink bottles and modern looking wrappings that you find around packs of biscuits, candies or bars and our all too familiar junk food. The landfills were dotted with the same telltale bright colors. Junk food had managed to make its way to this remote part of the world That was 20 years ago. Since then, diabetes numbers have been skyrocketing all over China and the East and obesity among youth has become a major problem.

We do indeed live in one world, for the better and the worse. Thinking that we do not is both an illusion and unsustainable. The winds from Tchernobyl, the currents from Fukushima never stopped at the borders, anymore than the waves of migrants who somehow stubbornly continue to want to flee bombs, wars, famines and poverty. It is in that spirit that Didier and I are moving to France. it means going back home of course but in the spirit of international citizens.

On a practical level, we do plan to come back (October 2018 is a first date!) and will continue our coaching and consultations online for our international friends. Check details below if you would like to set up an appointment. In Paris, I will continue to teach the ancient art of Taoist medicine adapted to our modern world. My dream and my goal are to make people independent and give them ancient tools to be able to reclaim their power and health. I see Chinese medicine as a potential for a truly ecological medicine of the future that people can use for their everyday health and care and share with their families, friends, children and relatives. Didier, in the same vein, will continue teaching vegan cooking, because we both are firmly convinced that the health, care and love given to our animal friends are part of what Thich Nhat Hanh used as a title for one of his books “For a future to Be Possible”. Again, we cannot make artificial boundaries anymore between species, plants, water, rivers, trees and humans. We are living on the same little blue planet. Our global health is intertwined. If our rivers suffer, we suffer and our own rivers of blood become toxic. If our ocean is polluted, our kidneys, our own inner ocean, also get polluted.

So in this spirit of thanks and prayer for our common sky, water, earth and intertwined fates on our little blue planet called earth, we would like to send you our best wishes for the New Year as well as peace and better communication and understanding between all of us, earthlings, from the smallest to the biggest, the most vulnerable to the most powerful. May we all ease each other’s suffering and find the strength required of all of us at this particular challenging time in history because we have so much power at our fingertips, so many tools to use for our benefit or destruction. May we all choose wisely on our own paths.

Thank You and God Speed
Thank you so much for your heartfelt message Liliane and Didier! Though we will miss having you in the States, we know you will both do so much good in France and beyond. Interestingly, lately Shalvah and I have both been feeling the calling to teach and educate in order to help bring healing and harmony back to humanity and the planet. God speed in France, and when it comes time to return back to the US, we will be waiting for you with open arms. We love you! Happy Holidays! Love, Joshua and Shalvah (and Izaiyah!)
